Daddy's Girl

My husband picked out these colorsone day when I stopped to get some yarn to finish another project. He asked me if I would make a blanket for our soon to be new daughter. This was the pattern picked and I really like how it came out. I found the pattern on Ravelry.com and it is called Baby Blocks.

Green Circles

Having a pretty good size yarn stash I figured it was time to start using some of it up. Mainly the colors I don't normally work with. I found this pattern on Ravelry.com, but the pattern is actually on the Lion Brand website. The pattern is called Stratford Circle Afghan. It can be made any size. In the picture of the couch, the afghan is folded in half and then laid against the back. This took me about four days to do.

Hook used: US K (6.5mm)

Yarn used: Caron One Pound

510 Kelly Green (2 skeins)

587 Pale Green (1 skein)

Mystery Quilt

A couple of years ago my best friend and I took a mystery quilt class with the guild she was a member of. The top quilt is the one I did for the class. I really liked the pattern but not the fabric I had picked so had really wanted to do it again. A friend of mine had a baby over the summer and decided I would make the pattern again for her (the bottom quilt). The quilt is 64" x 64", so a little big for a newborn but felt it could grow with her.

Butterfly Fun

I also made this for our soon to be daughter. The only thing I had to purchase was a yard of ligt pink for the background that the butterflies are sewn on, the rest I was able to pull from my stash of leftovers from other quilts. The pattern came out of the the book "Let's Quilt for Baby" that I found on e-PatternsCentral.com.

Dinosaurs

I picked this quilt out before I knew that my husband and I were expecting a girl. I felt that even girls can like dinosaurs so I still did it. The pattern is 'My Dinosaur Baby Quilt' and can be found on e-patterncentral.com.

Bedding Set

A friend of mine asked me if I would be willing to make a quilt and baby bumper for a lady that wanted a set homeade but didn't know how to sew. After getting together, seeing what she had in mind and the fabric she had picked out; we came out with this design. It was pretty easy and quick to do.

Baby Ribbons

I made these four quilts for a good friend of mine who has four girls. I adjusted the pattern 'Twisted Ribbons' from the book "Fun with One Block Quilts". The first two I also made matching purses. All four quilts are 45" x 60" and have tulips quilted on them.

Black N Brown

So once a week I go to a Spouses Coffee for, well coffee, and chatting. We have started a raffle once a week to raise money for a spouses function, the money goes towards tickets, decorations and costumes. So if you win the raffle you have to bring the prize for the next week. Well I won the prize and it was my turn to bring something so I decided instead of going out and buying anything I would make something. This blank was what I decided on. The pattern is called Mosaic-Afghan (Crochet) .

Fun at the Pool 2 Page Digi-scrap Spread

These are from my visit to Utah this summer. I really love spending time with the girls and enjoyed scrapping these pages to remember our day at the pool!

Fairy Sighting

This Saturday Stef brought the new version of photoshop to craft day and after downloading (yea!!!!!!!!! I have photoshop again! Thank you, thank you, thank you STEF!!!!!!!) she and I played around with a few pages.

This one was the result of showing her how to use some of the applications, graphics and kits she had with photoshop. It turned out I needed a refresher course too, but ....for a teaching/learning page I ended up really liking how this one turned out!
