French Braid Quilt

This pattern came out of the book "French Braid Quilts: by Jane Hardy Miller. It's called "Big Red" but you can use any color you want as long as the colors fade from dark to light. My best friend had bought this book last year and I really like the patterns and the way they look so had to do one. She helped me pick out the fabrics, but wasn't able to make it before leaving for Germany so here it is.
I did this on in eleven shades of blue and the center diamonds are eleven fabrics of black and white. I really like how it came out and have it as the quilt on the bed in my guest room.
